Hello! I’m Josh Yu ( not an “airport,” as someone casually commented ), a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) graduate, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I have over 31 years of professional experience in the IT industry.
My career in software development gave me the opportunity to work for companies in the USA, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines, in a myriad of fields, such as computer services and consulting, education, health care and life insurance, media and advertising, application service provider, manufacturing, and the petroleum refining industry.
My role as a computer programmer and analyst encompass the whole development life-cycle, including team management, support, maintenance and administration. Some of the projects I’ve worked with includes enterprise content management systems (ECMS), web portals, process automation, reporting services, client/server systems, system migrations, school information system, computer-based training application, shipping, manufacturing, multi-language systems, accounting, message on-hold systems, hospitality systems, embedded systems and digital signage.
My current areas of interests are Microsoft stack, WordPress, LAMP, XAMPP, technical writing, and graphics editing. And my primary computer languages of choice are C#, VB and PHP.
